Hey everyone.

So i started my mealworm colony a few months ago, as expected after about 1 month i started to get pupae, then i started to get beatles, now my beatles are dying off but i dont see any baby mealworms yet. So my question is how long after i have beatles will i get mealworms?

-I have had about 100-150 beatles for roughly 2-3 months

-about 30-40% of the beatles have already died off

-When will i start seeing mealworms and when will they be ready to be used as feeders?

hey i did a good check today, took out a scoop of bran and spread it out on the table, turns out i have TONS of baby mealies i just couldn't see them but they are only 1/4" or so. So i guess this is a good sign, im going to assume that the slow growth is due to a cold inviroment its only 68-70 where im keeping them but its the only place in the apartment my G/F wil allow me to keep them lol.

O wow. That would definitely explain a slow growth.
