Day and night hours

Tonight I am going to a barbeque and my little gecko is going to be alone till around 9-11 pm tonight. Would it be okay if I turned off his light I usually have on during the day and just turn on his heat pad? We have a window next to him we could keep uncovered because his day/night schedule is usually 8 am on 8pm off. Also just wondering would it be okay to feed him a little bit later around 9 to 11 when I usually feed him at 7:45? I can't help the schedule difference but it's only going to be for tonight. His schedule will be the same any other night.

They're pretty hardy and can deal with schedule changes. Ideally, you would be leaving the heat pad on 24/7. The lights aren't necessary but if you want to use them it's fine.

Well thank you :) I don't leave his pad on 24/7 because I don't think it's a good thing unless you have like a rack system or if that's what you prefer. I keep his pad on for 12 hours at night and his light on 12 hours during the day. It seems to work very well :) it helps his digestion a lot I think because I feed him while I turn on his pad and after feeding I turn off his light and just leave his pad on. He seems to thrive this way and he seems like a happy healthy gecko :)

Oh and I know the light isn't necessary but how I see it is the light would simulate the sun at day and his pad would simulate the warm rocks or ground after the sun went down.
