Hello everyone.

In your experience, do leopard geckos prefer a day and night heat cycle or to be kept at constant temperatures?

I'm testing out a new digital thermostat and I'm planning to go with this:
Day: 35ºC/95ºF in the warm hide, around 25ºC/77ºF in the colder area.
Night: 33ºC/91ºF in the warm hide, around 23ºC/73ºF in the colder area.

What do you think about these heat gradients and cycle?

The ambient temp is going to change day/night anyway. I just have my UTH's on all the time and everyone does fine. If the temp is not to their liking they move to the other side of the cage, but I don't think there's anything wrong with having different day/night temps.

I really can't have my desert UTH on all the time as it gets too hot, so I'll have to control it with one of my thermostats.

I have always run a night and day temp cycle with my snakes and now that I bought a herpastat I am doing it with my gewckos as well. I just always try to duplicate the natural atmospher best I can. But I don't think its necassary
