We had our first egg from one of our females yesterday and it couldnt of look more perfect but after 24 hours in our incubator with the temp set to 28c and the humidity set to 80% and the substrate is vermiculite the egg seems to gone wrinkly? Any ideas on what causing this would be much appreciated :main_huh:

Sometimes eggs look good but aren't and can lose it quickly. It also may be that humidity should be higher, but I'm not sure.

It's really starting to dent in now :( better luck next time I suppose. Is there generally a specific reason as to why this happens? Such a shame :(

Sometimes the egg isn't fertile, sometimes the embryo isn't viable and dies. Sometimes it's a mystery. I've had them go bad late in the process and end up with a dead fetus. I hope things work out better next time.
