im going to have my leo housed in my living room and there's not too much sunshine in there, although there'll be a little. So my question is should I use some sort of household CFL to simulate daytime, or should I just leave it be and see how the activity levels are?

Also as far as night, my temps are fine, but what type of light should I use for viewing purposes? A red household bulb will be okay, if I'd like to look at/play with my leos, right?

Thanks!!

Unless your living room windows are boarded up there's probably enough light to let them know that it's day time. They don't need sun during the day, just enough light so that it doesn't look as dark as night. A low wattage red bulb is fine for night viewing. Watch your temperatures with the light on to make sure they don't get too high.
