I'd say make one yourself, it be cheaper too. That kit had some unneeded stuff like a heatmat and the substrate looked like a moss of some sort, are you planning on getting a hatchling?? if so then definately try and saty away from the moss. I could probably make one for you and send it to you as long as you pay for all of it I can easily guarentee it be cheaper than 100

Get a 10 gal tank and a secure screen lid-paper towels for substrate-some vines/branches and artificial plants and you are good to go
Use anything for a water dish and buy a spray bottle for misting
Very small babies can also be kept in Critter Keepers

It is more important to keep these geckos on the cool side than warm-82 is their maxed out ambient air temp before they can become stressed so unless you have a very cold house in the winter -you won't need any type of heat for their enclosure

Keeping them alone is usually a good idea as babies but they can be kept in groups as long as the geckos are all roughly the same size and they are separated before they are sexually mature to prevent breeding of immature females

One male to a group of adult animals as with many other lizards is the general rule

I am no expert by any means with this species of gecko but after keeping them for about a year and a half-I have to say that they are the easiest lizards that I have ever cared for

The most expensive things will be your Crested Gecko Meal Replacement formula and the crickets

You can use live plants and florescent lighting or just start out with ambient room lighting and fake plants
I like the fake plants because they are easy-lol- and I also use some driftwood in their enclosures

I hope that this helps

So a Crestie doesn't need an UTH like a leopard does? Just curious since I don't have any?

I can't emphasize how bad that it is for these guys to over heat-from all of the reading that I have done-that is most likely the number one cause of stress which can lead to illness and even death with them

So if you use any type of overhead lighting-especially incandescent-keep a close eye on your cage temps
The smallest wattage of bulb can give off to much heat in a small tank/enclosure

I keep my house at around 76 in the warmest room in the winter and the Rhacs are kept in the coolest room

In the summer because I do not have Central ac -I keep the Rhac's in a bedroom with an ac unit

It's always good to ask questions about animals that you don't have
I read the Rhac forums for a few years before I decided to get some

I went from Cresties to Leachies and I have a trio of Gargs on hold

They are most definitely addicting !!!
It's their faces-lol

yeah I been thinking cresties for a while. Same day I saw some striped gargs. I know they are from the same family so I am asuming same set-up. I also heard gargs don't really like too be handled and will eat a smaller garg if they are in same encloser. I don't know.

Handleingwise I've found them exactly the same. All Rhacs have lizard eating tendencies. Gargs you do have to be careful with though. If you can keep a Crested Gecko you can keep a Gargoyle.
