Defecatorium

I'm currently housing a single juvenile leo in a plastic bin. I decided to DIY a wood enclosure with tile flooring. Now, before I make my final design on cage furniture set-up, I would like to determine where my gecko would prefer to defecate.

Is it possible for me to influence the gecko to choose a spot that will be ideal for me in terms of cleaning/maintenance?

Right now, the gecko poops in one spot where I placed a single square sheet of toilet paper. What if I place that sheet of toilet paper (w/ scent of the previous poop) in the new enclosure? Do you think the gecko will recognize it and cotinue doing "business" in the new spot?

I dont think it is possible to influence a gecko on where to poop most gecko just pick a corner and thats their bathroom until you move the cage around, but im no expert

Be nice if it was a hatch door that you could release from the bottom, slip the new layer on & shut it again. A nice little square of linoleum or tile for ease of cleaning. A few pin ups on the walls. I think you're on to something here.

I have had luck putting something that has had gecko poo on it in a corner and having all the geckos go there. ALternatively, you can figure out their corner of preference after the first poo, put a small tile there and just clean off the tile.

I think that placing a piece of paper towel with his poop on it will influence him to defecate there
