Deformed Darkling Beetles: Edible to Leos?

I heard you're supposed to kill the deformed darkling beetles that pop up. Well, so that they won't be a waste, can I feed them to my leopard geckos instead?

I don't think the leos will eat them. Don't taste good, so I hear

I tried feeding one to my previous leo. He didn't look twice at it. So I mashed the beetle and put some of the guts on his nose, to entice him. He gave me a terrified look and rubbed his nose against my arm to get rid of the guts/smell.

So, no, I don't think they like the taste very much.

Beardies will happily eat them if you happen to have one.

Some of my males will eat the beetles. So will my gerbils, in fact.
