My female layed her second clutch (2 eggs) yesterday and both of the were kind of dented. She didn't lay in the lay box though. She layed them on the paper towels. They were both kind of dented and I know for a fact that they were laid between 9-10pm. Maybe because the humidity was too low? Well in the morning they are still kind of dented so should I just give it time to swell up?

Usually if there layed outside of the laybox theres a good chance they are infertile, but it cant hurt to incubate.

Unless absolutely certain they are no good, I would incubate them. There's a chance they may turn out okay, even if they don't look quite like they should under normal circumstances. Keep an eye on them in the incubator in case they do go bad. Good luck :)

I read a method that I have used with success before with eggs like yours. When you incubate them, cover them completely with the substrate (it was vermiculite in my case) and leave it like that for 3 days...no peeping at all. Then check & if they are fertile they should have plumped out. I had a first time layer that laid her first two clutches in the moist hide but they were duds. The third clutch she laid in her water bowl but what do you know...they were fertile :) Always incubate until it's painfully obvious...and then maybe a day after :p Best of luck.

Ok so it's been 3 days so I uncovered the eggs. 1 of them puffed up a bit and it is slightly dented and the other one is really dented.

Both look bad, usually if they are dented they arnt going to make it. Most people see that they are dented, add more and more water to there medium and it causes the eggs to mold.

Uhh, why did you bump this? :main_huh::main_huh:

I moved them around in my photobucket account so the links don't work.
