Leo's love to live in groups one male to a few females....

as for breeding yeah you will get eggs and have to provide a nest box for the females but you can remove the eggs and toss them or give them to a pet store that incubates leo eggs or another breeder, you would have to get them removed and do not turn them after 24 hours and get them to the person to incubate them we have friends that do that with us all the time, If you keep everyone well fed and watch your females weight provide a nest box with damp spagnium moss so they can lay their eggs your geckos show love living together I have several colonies of geckos from 1male to 2 females, and 1 male to 5 females and they are a kick to watch at night when out hunting.
I just got done with a article about a communial tank that even when the females laid their eggs they left them in the tank to hatch out you would have to have a large tank, and the babies had hides for when they hatched and they all lived together until adulthood even with more then one male, this might be advanced! But I know that my leo's love to be in groups with one male to several females, and I have had no problems with them at all! Just my two cents worth hope this helps, and gives you some ideas. If I can be of anymore help let me know!

a piece of info i found in a leopard gecko forum online... ha...

she has a couple of people leaving their males and females in the tank even though the people said they didn't want to breed. but they're worried their males are depressed and that he needs a friend...

here's another one... the girl said specifically "I don't want them to mate!! "

and the other woman said, "hey you might even decide you need a couple of girls for your male and they would live well in a group in a 20 long "

why would you want to get one female much less a couple, when you don't even want them to mate?! oh and this particular thread is all in reference to housing a male and female together, like the other one.

Dunno about male and some females but we had a group of females that lived togeather like sisters and got pissy when we seperated them to take them out to check on them.

I know the answer! Males can't live together. But you can house a male with a female or a few. As a pet owner (aka never breeding!) I'd love to have a mack. We already have a male & female in separate homes. The temptation to buy one & put her in with the male is HUGE! I just don't know where I stand on the whole tossing out the eggs thing. It's definitely something I'll be reading up on before I move forward.
