Did your gecko ever go through a sudden growth spert?

Ok I bought a male Jungle Giant tremper albino from Alberto at A&M and I had him for about 8-9 months. I got him at around 40 grams he grew to about 67 grams up until may. In the last month he has literally look like he doubled in length and width. He is now 92 grams in 1 month and his head got huge. I was getting worried that he wasn't a giant because he wasn't getting so big. He will be 1 years old on June 15th. Just found it odd how his weight and size shot up so fast out of nowhere.

Yeah... It happens with giants or depending on bloodlines... I had few geckos that is only 45g by one year old then 6 month later gets really huge as 80g... So I say normal depends on your bloodline and deit.

Nope same diet. Never changed anything since I posted yesterday he has grown another 2 grams. I think it's weird I hope it keeps growing I want 1 120gram gecko. My heaviest is a 110 gram gecko female that I got from xavier and is in my avatar the other one is 103grams and 1 year old almost exactly

None of Diet changed and possibility of genetic or late bloomers, which happens alot

my henry went thru a growth spurt when i had him after 6months.. he went from 20g to about 35g in about 3 weeks and i got worried that he was gonna be growing faster than his bones could handle and have some kind of physical problem.. but alas he's perfectly fine and whatnot , and i hadnt changed his diet since day one..

now ball pythons are a different story.. i have a 2 year old ball python that has only grown 2 inches since i had gotten her. she was approx 10-11 inches when she came home and jackie is now only 12-13 inches.. and the lil snothead hasnt missed a single meal. =/ wtf is up with that?? lol I know some snakes have slow metabolisms but her's is rediculous.. lmfao

i dont even know how much she weights.. i should really find a picture of jackie when i first got her and take a new picture of her now..

The samething happened with my Giant, he stayed at about 70 grams for a few months, then when he got close to 1 year, he shot up to almost 100 grams and is still growing

100 grams today so 8 grams since the 15th 9 days he gained 8 grams. I think he's going out of control

Thats what giants do..... Mine have done the same and most people who have them will tell you the same story.... I thought mine was not going to go over 75 grams at first, but then all of a sudden, he was up to 98 grams.... I have not weighed him in about 4 months but I am sure he has broke 100 grams....
