what is the difference between blizzards and blazing blizzards? i thought blizzards were white/almost translucent with a yellow overcast and tint of gray on the head. and blazing was pure white but do they have to have red eyes to be blazing blizzards? i just picked up one labeled blizzard. it does have a pinkish/translucent body with the yellow overcast but no grey on the head. and it has black eyes as far as i can tell. what would he be considered?

Blazing blizzards are albino blizzards so it sounds like you were told correctly that you have a blizzard.

The eyes do matter but most of the time you need to see a blazing blizzard when they are very young because their eyes change. When they hatch the eyes of a blazing blizzard will be some shade of red, brighter for males than females. But as they grow the color will change and most end up with more of a gold/ yellow colored eye. Hope this helps, I'll try and get some pics to show the change.

Blazing just means that it has 2 copies of an albino gene and 2 copies of blizzard. Depending on genetics and incubation, blazings can be angel white, or even dark grey, so color is not a good way to tell a blizzard from a blazing blizzard. If the eyes aren't solid black, a Blazings eyes should look very similar to the eyes normally found in the albino type that it was crossed with. Hope this makes sense :)
