different albinos

can you please tell me how to tell the difference between a rainwater albino and a temper albino, my future husband and I can't figureout what the difference is.

The RW eyes are generally darker then the Tremper eyes. Tremper eyes are usually described as being pink or pinkish. RW are like a ruby red.

This topic has been discussed before so use the search button at the top of the page and search for RW/Tremper/Bell eyes or just "albino eyes". You should find some results that will explain in full detail.

They are completely different strains of Albinos. If you breed them together you only get Normal leopard geckos het for both Albino strains.

Rainwater pupils are very dark black:

Great eye shots! When I was speaking of pink and ruby red I was talking about the veining in the eye not the pupil. But your description along with the pictures is a much better illustration at showing the differences.

Thanks! A long time ago Felicia described to me how to look into the pupil and see in it was red or not to identify a Tremper so I took those pics with my old Rebel in the dark from across the room with a big zoom lens. I took about 2 hours but I got the pics!! LOL
