My male Leo is in a 29 gallon with temps at 96 on the warm side and 75 to 80 on the cool side. I have a layer of sand to help with heat distribution and Eco earth on top of that, but he always throws the Eco earth out of all his hides to get to the sand, even on the cool side. I guess what Im seeking advice on is whether or not to have just sand or keep it as is. And I know a lot of people hate loose substrate but I'm not looking for a substrate debate, thanks!
P.s. I do feed out of a dish which is on on top of ceramic tile to reduce impaction
