Discoids vs Dubia breeding

I seem to have a problem with one of my colony, either the dubias aren't breeding very well, or my discoids breed too much. The discoids are producing at least 5 times more than the dubias, and I had roughly the same number of adult females in there. I keep both settings exactly the same, with a dish of dog food and a dish of cereal, sandwich bread, and fresh fruits. Heating on one end at ~93-4F.

Do I need to change the dubia setting? How can I make them more prolific?

From what i understand-and i might very well be wrong here-the Dubia's repoduce at a slower rate than the discoids
I have no clue as to why if this is true

You know what's odd? My dubia colonies produce like mad, while my discoids produce at a much slower rate. I wonder if it is humidity related or? Not sure...
