Nyoko has decided he doesn't want to eat. He's gotten really dark and his belly seems so flat... I'm going to the store tomorrow to get some chicken baby food and see if I can't get him to eat that... I'm worried about him :(

Granted, this week has been horrible for half of my babies, so maybe he's just in a funk and will pull thru and I'll feel silly for worrying.... but then again, maybe not.

So, I've started feeding him some squash baby food mixed with a little bit of calcium powder and that seems to be a hit. His colors lighted a tiny bit and he ate maybe 1.5mL of it... I'm going to try and feed him every 4-5 hrs... see if that won't help. He looks so skinny :(

I wish people at pet stores really knew how old their babies were... there's not way this peanut is really 4 months old. I'm thinking maybe more like 2.

Good luck! Is he eating today? Both of mine are hunting down crickets on their own now; no need to handfeed Hugo anymore, and Huguette never wanted to be handfed from the beginning. They are still not very interested in their greens. Maybe that will come by and by...

Have you checked for parasites? I just took a sample to check yesterday, and the vet clinic told me it is full of parasites...I thought Weetbix may have some parasite as he is stressed from the shipping and relocation of his tank twice, but I didn't expect the "heavy load". His poop is well formed too although a little soft.

Good luck, I hope Nyoko will eat for you soon.

Nope, not eating. He did ok yesterday w/ the baby food, but today has turned his nose up at it. That didn't stop me from rubbing his tummy and throat and head til he opened his mouth out of protest and then squirting little bits of food in there. :) He is, however, climbing up my hand when he thinks he's done, or when I dunk his butt in warm water for a little soak :) ((ok, I don't really dunk him, but he doesn't like baths, and I'm bathing him quite a bit right now to make sure he stays hydrated))

Color is back to normal too! Which is a massive plus for me, but I moved stuff around so he has to be by his heat lamp and UVB light unless he runs off into the far corner ^_^

Oh no!! That's so sad :bigcry: Poor little one.

Maybe there was something wrong internally from the beginning. I haven't had mine checked for parasites yet. I thought they're still too young? I was going to do this when they are a few months older. Who knows what the right age for deworming and parasite check is? Maybe it's on my breeder's site, I'll have to see...

So sorry for you. I hope Ryuu is okay!!

EEEKS! :(

I almost lost my Veiled Chameleon when she became egg bound, With me blind to the fact that she was even old enough to produce eggs.

So sorry...

I feel your pain. I got some tokays in that had parasites. I didn't figure it out tillmthe smallest one passed. Although mine were still in there 1st week at my place, I was trying to limit bothering them to help reduce stress and totally missed the signs. I hope you feel better soon.

thanks guys. I'm upset, yeah... but I'm ok. Ryuu decided to wake up last night, which made me happy. Maybe she knew I was sad. Of course, she didn't really want to be held or anything, lol... she just wanted salad. ^_^

I disinfected the tank and everything... it looks so sad empty.
