Disney Movie Club

So, I found this great deal online before Christmas, and bought my brother 3 movies for like 5 bucks or something... Apparently, I signed up for the actual movie club with Disney... That I was unaware.. So in this club, I have agreed to purchase FIVE featured movies at 25.90 shipped!!!

I got my first rude awakening to this club when I recieved jungle book 40th anniversary in the mail. I returned it, paying 3.13 for a movie I never wanted to begin with.

Then, today I just recieved 'Ratatouille' and 'Pixar Short Films' for 38.90 shipped.

Oh, and this is automatically charged to my credit card...

I'm still waiting on the first credit, but that still means I paid $13 for these two movies. I'm keeping 'Ratatouille,' as I've been wanting to watch it. But it's just ridiculous.

OH, and I can't get out of the program unless I purchase 5 featured releases for nearly $30. I have two years to spend nearly $150 on movies I can get at Wal-Mart for $10-$15. Lovely...

I may be able to get away with only sending them the cost for the original three at regular price versus $5.

My mom was like well buy 5 of their $10 movies, but when I looked up the terms on the website, it says no, the movies must be featured films.

It could barely figure out how to sign into the website, bc it was telling me that I already had a log in name, but I have never been to the site. I signed up with another website.

But, what's ridiculous is that I never agreed to any of it.. Well, apparantly I did by purchasing the 1st 3 movies, but I wasn't aware of this whole ordeal...

I can't even sale them in Ebay or something to get the money back because who in their right mind would buy a $15 movie for $25? I guess I could get some of the money back. But, my luck with ebay is that I can't seem to sale things over $5, unless it's really good (jewelry or craft lots).

So, yea... Be careful what you sign up for online...

Yeah, I;ve always been weary of those columbia house dvd's type deals. I've been shafted on those types of deals many of times when I was younger.

lol!!!!!!! They tried that with me. Only thing is I didn't know they were going to keep sending me feature films. I still have to send Jungle Book back. My credit card was maxed because of Christmas so I got the update your profile notice and a bill for $27 and some change for the movie I never wanted. Now I have them send me feature movie notifications to my email and I keep saying NO!!!!!!!!!!!!.

You know, when you know whats in the box and dont want it, just write "RETURN TO SENDER" in big letters. You wont need to pay ANYTHING.

Hum well its not really suprising. Living in Florida about 40 miles from the mouse house, I can tell you if it has the words "Disney" in it, or has the stupid mouse ears on it, its either expensive or a rip off of some kind, or both.

Definately sent the Jungle Book back... Ha... They keep coming. I just sent a 'don't send' slip back for some other movie. Few days later 'Ratatioulle' and 'Pixar Short films' comes in the mail. So Deny one and they send you two! Well, this time anyway...

I read, that you cna pay in full the first 3 movies and cancel out of hte program. I got so excited, thinking 'that's a better deal,' but it's only within the first 10 days. And I bought the first 3 in like November or something. :-(

I may try that. Will it work if you send just partial what you recieved? IE open the package, keep one movie, seal the package with the return slip of the other DVD. and write 'return to sender' on the package?
