distilled water in the misting system

I know that distilled water is lacking in nutrients, but I need to run it through my automatic misting system to prolong the life of my nozzles. Running tap water through my nozzles will cause them to clog up and reduce their effectiveness.

The distilled water is the only source of water that I have been using for all of my geckos since getting the automatic misting system.

After reading some reports it turns out that the distilled water will actually pull minerals from the consumers body. I dust all my geckos food with the Repashy Calcium plus ICB and feed my crested geckos CGD.

Should I be concerned especially if I am going to be breeding this coming season or should I continue to do what I am doing now.

If I do end up changing my water should I invest in a micron filter and carbon filter to filter the water at my taps to reduce the amount of dirt in the water and remove the chlorine. Or should I just fill my 5 gallon jug up with the tap water and then find away to clean the nozzles to remove the mineral build up

Will it do the trick if you put your water through a Britta filter? That's what I do for hand-misting my gecko cages so I don't get deposits on the glass

Yeah that is kind of what I was thinking of doing. Except I would get one of those under the sink filters that would help to also remove sediment (micron filter) which is bascially just a string filter to filter out the large disposits in the water and the carbon filter to help remove other contaminates like what the Brita uses.
