I'm not sure how many of you guys have vended or even just checked out the Dixie show in Birmingham, AL. I'm thinking about going, but trying to decide if it will be worth my while to spend the money to go up there.

I'd love to wait for another ATL show, but that's not till January. It may be worth it to wait, though.

Basically it's a 3 hour drive, hotel stay, and food, plus the table (which isn't that much, cheaper than the ATL table). My boyfriend and I are just trying to figure out if going to the show will cost more than it will bring home.

I vend there sometimes. it's a small show, usually 30 to 40 tables and 1000 to 2000 in the door. I did really well the last two months.

If you have expensive leos dont bother bringing them but geckos $50 or less sell good there. Big females sell great and cresteds always do well for me.
on a bad show I usually bring home $300 to $400 but the last two I did much better.

You should do good. There have not been many people with leos except me and one other vendor so you dont have many people to compete with.

Dixie Reptile Show in B'ham

We'd love to see you there! My son is buying his first Leopard Gecko(s) this weekend and we'd love to see a good variety to choose from.

There were a couple of folks that had quite a few Leos at the last show, but I understand one of them will not be there this weekend (opting for a Texas show).

Strangely, my son has started speaking a new language that I don't understand, but he has said something about a Mack Snow ... I'll get him to register here as well.

Stop by and introduce yourself if you go. I will be there. Just look for the guy with tattoos and a table with only geckos and you will find me:)

Hello Eric,

Good meeting you yesterday. You had some beauties on your table. Great looking Cresteds!

We thought it was a good show, just a couple of empty spots. Saw some critters we'd never seen before.

Hope it went well for you.

It was good to meet you too. Hope you found what you were looking for. There was not much of a Leo selection this month.
