hey guys, just wanted to share my new hide. so i found this skull in the aquarium section @ wally world for $5.00. it already had a small hole in the back for fish to swim through, so i just enlarged the hole with a jig-saw and then knocked the sharp edges off with a lil sandpaper. then set it on some wax paper, filled the bottom with some left over great stuff. let that cure for 24 hrs., carved the greatstuff for the right shape, then applied one layer of left over grout, and walah! cheap, cool skull hide for elvis! can't wait to see him peeking out behind the eye/nose hole-

Nice.
I saw this guy on ebay a while back and thought about it. Curious why you filled up the bottom with all that stuff? Could you just leave it the way it comes? Maybe some moss or something?

i filled it with some GS and then covered that with a layer of grout to bring the floor level inside the hide with the nose-hole & eye-holes so she could look out through them and climb through them. also i gained about an inch of room inside the hide doing so because the middle of the skull is wider than the base. hope that made sense-

thanx everybody! it was super cheap and super easy to do, anybody can do it!
