do leos get jealous?

ive had my male leo for about a year then i went to a show yesterday and got a beautiful female and usually he is all around the tank and fights with my fingers but ever since i put her in there he just lays in the cave and lets me pick him up and he jus sits there he wont take food out of my hand anymore either is he jealous or scared (she is about 1/2 inch and 10 grams larger than him) or what?

He is probably just getting used to her. I would also quarantine the female for at least 30 days.

If the female has a disease or parasites it's best to know before, it could spread to your male.

oh, well i got this one from a good friend and she is three years old with no problems should i still go ahead and quarantine i definately will if i get them from someone i dont know

ALL new reptiles should be quarantined away from existing animals. I don't care how good your "friend" is, doesn't mean the new gecko is parasite/disease free. Quarantine is one of the most important things to practice in the reptile hobby, people lose entire collections because they don't do it. Do your animals and yourself a favor and quarantine.

Proper quarantine procedures have already been compromised due to physical contact between the two lizards but it should be instigated immediately on both of them- away from one another, because parasites, bacteria and viral agents can have varying periods of communicability.

Split them up from one another, along with any other animals that have come into indirect contact (handled her, handled them, handled her, handled their water dishes, handled her, handled their food, etc) with that new girl and house them away from any other existing animal groups. Ninety days is about the minimum time that's of any use at all, one hundred eighty is better.
