my daughter found this little guy outside yesterday. He is next to my size 6 ring. He is itty bitty. His coloring looks like a leo but I think he is too small...

definitely not a leo! those little guys (whose species is slipping m mind right now) are native to where I live, and you've got a baby one right there! they are about 3 1/2 inches when adults. I really rally recommend letting that baby go, because from my experience thy are super delicate and wll die very easily of shock when you try to keep them as pets (I tried ALOT when I was youngr) plus if you let it go outside of your house, it will hang out by porch lights and eat all those freaky bugs around the house during spring and summer! then you will have a cool night time companion, and free pest control! haha! ither way, I hope this helps you out:D

dang! and I thought it was cold here! low 70's today. soo... as long as you can keep that gecko alive, I guess it doesn't really matter if you keep it, after all its a little bit to cold out for that little baby I think! otherwise you would find a little gecko-ice pop on your porch in the morning!

definitely a weird time for those guys to hatch they usually start hatching about mid-spring here... apparently some male gecko was just a little to eager to get a start on breeding season! lol

You'd be surprised how hardy and resourceful those little guys are. They make it through the winter by finding warm areas in your attic.
