The other day my friend came over and my dog started barking at the door and he told me to go and get it because someone must be at the door. I turned him and told him no ones there she just heard a noise and barked when he went to check it was true, lol. The janitor was taking things out of the storage room. He was amazed at how I can tell the difference in Luna's different barks, whines and cries.. lol..

Its gotten to the point I can tell for the most part whether the person at the door is a friend/family or stranger, lol

Maybe I spend just a little too much time with my dog, but can anybody else speak Bow-Wow or atleast understand it? :main_laugh:

Of course! You're not crazy Liz :) There are COMPLETELY different barks/growls/whines, etc. It's all about tone.

Of course! Each dog has a distinct bark for different things. I can be inside and hear barking from outside and say "Oh, that's Riley barking at a car," or "Maggie must be on her way over to play - I can hear Wrangler barking hello," or "Kody's doing the delivery man bark -yay a package!"

My dog chase has many, many, many different types of barks.

My favorite is the "Oh my gawd Grandma is home... Hurry mom and open the door before she leaves...Mommomomomhurryupshemightleavesoon!Grandma!Grandma!I'mcoming!!"

;)
