I want to heat up my cool side a little more(Not much, few degrees) as well as add light so my camera will be able to see so I can track what she does at night. Would a moonglow bulb or red bulb bother her at night?

I've got a red bulb which goes on and off all night with the temp plus it makes the Leo feel like they're actually in the dessert at night for hunting.

Which desert has red lightbulbs blinking on and off a foot above the ground all night?

when hunting for reptiles at night best results are had on dark nights with no moon. when there's a full moon, they are more exposed to predators than when it's fully dark.

maybe you can tell a difference in activity levels with your video monitoring setup when the light is on and when it's off. i'd use night vision so you don't need visible light to record video

good luck!

I think everyone's Leo is different...some on here have Leo's that won't come out if any light is one (RED BLUE OR WHITE) My guys show no issue with the red bulbs...and at times will climb their Viv decor to lay right under the lamp. I think you gotta figure out what's best for your Leo. One thing is agree'd Basking Lamps are a NO GO!

I turned on my infrared bulb for the first time tonight and it looks like Ren's in heaven. He's just lying there soaking up the heat.

Actually, the "infrared" bulb on the market do give out visible red light. The leos will see it, just not bothered by it most of the time. My leos do fine under the red lights.

I completely agree. I have used moonglow bulbs for my gecko since I got him. He doesn't show any issue with the bulb. Just watch your gecko to see how she is affected by it.
