The CHE apparently did the trick last night. My temp on the cool side was 70 and the tiles in the middle of the tank had a little warmth to them instead of being really cold, so I think I'll stick with the CHE. My son has been ignoring it, probably because it doesn't shine light and have a really neat switch to play with, LOL. Once temps start warming up, I'll remove the che and we'll be good to go. Thanks for your patience, everyone. I never got around to putting sand under all of the tiles, but I learned a bit about it, which is always good.
