I went home for a few days for Christmas, and the drive home SUCKED. I counted over 200 cars off the road just between Oklahoma City and Dubuque, IA. There were 50 mph winds in Iowa blowing snow across the road, and once I entered Wisconsin there were periods of total white out when I couldn't even see the hood of my truck!

But at least I got to give my mom the painting and see her new house. She wouldn't believe me that I painted it myself though. heh

Boy, am I glad I live in California! (I've been complaining about the daytime lows at 41 degrees!) It looks like a lot of folks didn't get their Christmas trip off to a very good start.

It photos like this that remind me why I endure summers with lows in the 90's.

LOL ...I think the first thing I said when I got to my mom's was "Thank you Wisconsin for reminding me why I left!"

I feel your pain! That's what it was like here 3 storms ago when it took me 3 1/2 hours to drive a normal 25 minute drive!

I'm so glad I don't have to drive in that! I was unhappy enough scraping frost off the windshield before driving the kids to school before break.

I think that's the same storm or one like it that hit us in Flint, MI lastnight and what I drove through to get home tonight.... 3 hour trip turned 5 hour trip......grrrrr
