my 2 girls were hatched within a day of each other and have been housed together ever since. I Came home yesterday and one of my little girls have dropped her tail the house was quite and noone was home, Could one make the other drop their tail? I could not find the tail in the cage and I seperated them just to be safe.

Babies being housed together can absolutely make each other drop their tails. It's not uncommon for them to eat them, either. This is the biggest reason most people keep the little guys housed individually. Seperating them was probably the best thing you could do.

ok, I will keep them seperated. I have a 40 gallon breeder so I just put a divider in the middle. Thanks for the response. How long does it usually take for the to re-grow it?

Why would the gecko eat the other gecko's tail? Too hungry?
