If anyone has some pictures of AFT's with regenerated tails I would like to see them for comparison. Thanks,

According to one of the AFT breeders out there, he feels that a lot of AFt's with dropped tails are probably WC (Wild Caught). He has seen nothing that suggest AFT's are more likely to drop their tail when compared to a Leo.

I personally have never seen an Amel AFT with a dropped tail. All of the ones with dropped tails have been normal or striped (there are stripe AFT's in the wild FYI). So maybe that helps to prove this breeders point. :main_huh:

You know-I don't think that I have ever seen an Amel with a dropped tail either

Thank's everyone, the regrowths are all different shapes! I wonder why they aren't the same for each gecko?

I don't believe that it is impossible for an amel to drop it's tail
(thanks for the pic) but I do agree that it seems to happen a lot less often than with normals-whether they are wc or cb

I mean-unless we really know the people that we are buying them from or they have bred the animals themselves-whose to say what is what?

One would hope that wc are being honestly represented but many first time buyers don't even know to ask

just my ,-02
