Dubai males..

I have a dubai colony and have heard its best to take out the over populated males that are full grown because they just take up resources.

I was curious does anyone have any ideas what I could do with them ?

Could they be blended and provide a source of food back to the dubai or used as fertilizer, or some other use ?

Thanks.

We feed our extra males to our bearded dragon. I'm not sure what else you could use them for.

I wondered the same thing because I only own a Leo and the adult dubia would be too large to feed to a Leo. And I live in Louisiana so if I threw them outside I bet they'd be fine... (its hot and humid so they could probably just breed if I threw out males and females--maybe males alone would be fine?)

Edit: I suppose there is always the toilet...

ive never done it but it would probably be a smart idea to blend em and feed em back to the colony. only problem is that would be a good vector for parasites.

they would probably make a great plant fertilizer.

One of the many nice things about lateralis is that the adult males are still small enough for an adult leo to eat.

Well, you can actually sex the dubia as nymphs so then you can just feed off the male nymphs to your adult geckos or any geckos for that matter.
