I am so excited! I was checking my tank with adult only dubias & it seems that they have reached maturity! I found some dubia babies! Not too many, so I am assuming only one of the females has given birth so far. But I am super excited because I know that I'm at least doing something right. Yay! And my first batch of lateralis babies is finally big enough to feed off. Those guys took forever to grow.

I know there is only one baby in the picture, but I didn't want to disturb the rest anymore.
But I am so ready for these dubias to start producing more.

Nice, congrats! I'm still waiting for my lateralis colony to build up before I can feed off any. Dubias seem so much easier than the lats; the lats are cannabalistic, they're eating each other and they're eating their eggs! I feed them the same stuff I feed the dubias...:main_no:

YAY! *LOL* I'm glad I'm not the only one who gets all happy to see roaches breeding. Now to just convince my daughter that roaches are a good thing. *LOL*

hahaha I didn't have a problem with my lateralis breeding. They just laid egg sacs everywhere & bam! Tons of babies. I haven't noticed any cannibalism. They keep laying & laying. And I ony have about 4 mature females & 2 males. I have hundreds of babies.

I have about 12 mature dubia females & maybe 4 mature males. Hopefully they start having babies soon.

I feed all my feeder bugs the roach chow stuff. My mealies devour it.

@Stl_Greaser: I can't wait till I have a steady flow of dubias coming in. That'll be great.

LOL I had to convince by bf to get the roaches. I told him I was tired of the cricket smell. He finally gave in after like a week & he's been glad we got them ever since. They save us money.
