Dubia colony wiped out.

I think my apartment's quarterly bug spraying has ended my roach colony. I have kept this colony for over a year now and had around 500. All of the websites I can find are either out of stock or are expensive. Does anyone here know of a place to get a good healthy supply for a reasonable price?

If you want the best price, I would go to the next show that you can attend. Other then that shipping always bumps prices way too high for feeders.

There is a show at the machinist hall on ST. Charles Rock Road on the 18th of July. You may be able to pick some up there. I know it's a bit of a drive, but it will be the cheapest place to find some without shipping.

good luck starting the colony over again. i feel your pain, as my mealworm colony has been wiped out twice by the bug man and I had to throw away hundreds of worms and months of waiting.

David, were those 500 all adults? I can hook you up from my colonies and I will set the shipping at a flat rate of 10.00 just tell me how many adult pairs you want and how many of each size down to babies to give you a complete colony and what you think is a fair price.

They were mostly nymphs I had around 50 adults, since I only have two mouths to feed I was feeding them out before the colony could get any bigger I was even using some of the adult males for fishing bait. I'm saving money for a wedding now but I will know by the 15th how much I can spend. I don't mind to start out small since mealies are so cheap right now. I started with only 4 adult pairs so I would go with that again so just let me know what you can do, I will most likely have 40 to 50 to spend. I really appreciate the help.
