That is all I could figure it out for, was to drop PH. However knowing my wonderful class of employees (rolls eyes), I'm sure they didn't give them proper dosage. If the guy really wanted to lower PH, we have PH decreaser IN THE FISH ROOM, that could tell you correct measurements, plus bring in the company 4 bucks.
I've also heard using vinegar to clean tanks and such with, which makes me wonder if this is what the employee was trying to get at, and the guy didn't understand (He didn't speak the greatest english). UGH, Is all I can muster
