Hello! Here are some photos of Dusty my crested gecko! Also I wanted to ask, is a 29 gallon big enough for an adult gecko? There's so much controversy over the size of the enclosure, some sources say 10 gallons, some say 60 gallons.

Is your 29 gallon vertically or horizontally oriented? I go more with dimensions than gallon size since I'm usually using enclosures that have been made as front opening as opposed to aquariums. I've definitely found that a 12"x12"x18" enclosure (which according to the internet holds about 11 gallons) is too small for an adult crested gecko. My crested geckos are generally in a 18x18x18 (25 gallons) or 18x18x24 (33-34gallons) enclosure. Your 29 gallon seems to slot in there nicely. If you're using it as a regular tank with a top opening, it can be done but you're also always going to be opening it right in the place where the gecko is set to come out which can be problematic. There are ways to convert a top-opening aquarium into a front opening tall enclosure. Otherwise it may make sense to try to get an Exo-terra or Zoomed front-opening enclosure. I've never gotten one new and have always checked craigslist, never paying more than $50-70 for one.

Horizontal, and you have a good point. It's 18 high, 30 long, and 12 deep. I'm open to getting her an exo-terra or something like that, but if the 29 gallon will work I'm open to staying with that too. Really I want whatever is healthiest for my crested gecko, I want her happy. She's in a top opening lid now, and I've never had problems, but obviously that could change and what not.
