My leo shed around a week ago and today when i walked in the room her cage was in a mess and she had shed skin on her feet tail and face, and she looked very upset, i put her in a warm water bath right away and let her soak for close to 20 min and i got the skin off of ever where i think with a que tip and a little with my finders, im gonna check again in a bit, she just seems very shaken up about all the moving and baths and stuff, im wondering what more i could do to help her and what early sheding can do to them and if its even early! any help would be great thanks so much

she is pretty young and i have only had her around 4 weeks now, mainly on mealworms every day, she has a cool hide but it was not humid cuz i did not think it very close to shedding time

If im not mistaken younger geckos shed more frequently then adults. When you notice your gecko's color fading and whitening, I would moisten the hide. And I just realized I double posted lol, must be to late.

They shed as they grow. If they grow they shed. If they dont grow they dont shed. Clearly shes growing, i wouldnt be concerned. Rango was shedding about 3-5 times a month when she was 3-7 months old.

My adult geckos ( still all relatively newin my household ) are shedding every 2 weeks roughly since they arrived with me. One ofthem has been here a mere 4 weeks and has shed every week since her arrival :D

I always have 2 moist hides in their viv along with their normal hides as well though :D x
