earthworms for fatties?

anybody tried this?

if i remember right ive heard that earthworms are lots more nutritional than crickets and mealworms.

also, fatties spend most of their time underground, under rocks, wood, etc... wich are all the same places that you find earthworms.

maybe in the wild fatties eat earthworms?

further, it seems like it would be easier and less stinky to raise earthworms for fatties, compared to crickets.

thoughts? experience?

I personally wouldnt reccomend it, stick with cricks/mealies

I would only try it if you can get the earth worms from a breeder. You never know what kind of chemicals wild caught EW had come in contact with. I do not know if they would be more nutritious then crix or mealies, since I have not heard or read this. But yes WC AFT's would eat a wide variety of food and i could see them eating EW.

I got one of my chameleons to eat 2 snails once. It's said they will eat spiders and bees too but I wouldn't want to risk that.

I have actually heard the opposite.. that earthworms are of no nutritional value whatsoever.

I would like to add that IMO you should stick with what has been proven to work.

If you wanted to give it a try make sure you get the EW from a breeder.
