Would earthworms be good to feed your gecko? I'm not talkign about wild worms, I'm talking about the worms you raise. They are called Red Worms, they get 1-2" in length and breed very well. Would a gecko be able to eat them?
I fed a few small earthworms to my crested gecko a week ago. He did not get sick and is pooping normally. I think they would be good as an occasional treat. It is probably better to get small worms rather than huge ones.
Ok. I had a feeling they would not hurt the gecko but benefits wise I really don't know. And I dont think you can judge how much it would supplement your gecko. I will be raising them and feeding them scraps like apples, bananas, lettuce, potatoes, ect... so they SHOULD offer some nutrients. Is there any way to tell how much nutrients red worms would offer compared to crickets or mealies?
