I kno you can't keep your house clean of all bugs and I have learned to deal with earwigs in the summer. But are they harmful to my geckos. They are climbing the plastic and finding their way into my tubs. Can they harm them or hurt them, and what if one of my geckos eats them?

it depends. Have the earwigs ever come into contact with toxic substances? To keep them out you can put a band of double sided tape around the base of the rack, and make sure the rack is not touching the wall. Then put a band of double sided tape around the power cord of the heat tape somewhere between the plug and the area where it reaches the rack. If you eliminate any path for them to get to the tubs then they wont.

i would consider them dangerous.. anything that has pinchers and bites other creatures is dangerous.. plus like Daniel said they could of come into contact with toxic substances.. which most of them that are out there have.
