the last gecko in the vid trying to pull up the carpet was pretty cool. I've never seen my geckos show that level of problem solving skill to get a bug that got away. Maybe it's because when it happens I get frustrated too quickly and dig it back out for them...lol

You have some beautiful animals and creative setups, HJ! Thank you for sharing this with us!

PS: Someone should send you some feeding tongs for Secret Santa this year! That looked like a nasty tag!

Thanks Melissa for the nice words.
I go through the same thing about picky eaters
at times.
But I only have myself to blame since I offer
a few choices....
I have one male that "holds out" for dubia roaches.
If yours are eating crickets (as many)....
they may hold out for them unless real hungry.....
Hey, I worry less about them when I see them
eat.....something.
Take care. HJ

Chrissy

Yeah Josh and Chrissy.
Thanks.
It has certainly been a help since
training him to do that.(Finding Hidden Prey 101)
New classes starting up Feb.30th 2012.
Now when others lose a worm...........
I just send the big guy in to
"dig it out" for the not so talented ones........
In addition it gives me more time to
procrastinate.
Take care. HJ

i love it when they shake thier tails its so funny.

i cant hand feed my one leo...she hopes my fingers are an even bigger meal worm lol

nice vid!

Sure spices up "gecko Watching"
Might try, as I do,..wet your(i use knuckles) or fist
when going to touch the front or face part of
your gecko.
After a few times of this you will find
they think of the intruder fist friendly.
it works...I use it all the time.
Can follow up with a few worns too,
See it Work here.

OMG this is probably the cutest leo video I've ever seen. The one lifting up the carpet is awesome, looks like a little dog digging for a bone. I could watch leos eat all day long. The way they're just sitting there nonchalantly and then they suddenly move their head when they notice food moving nearby. And that little tail wag--too cute!! Love this video. I'm going to watch it again :)

:main_thumbsup:This was fun to watch! I especially liked the guy who was digging up the carpet in the corner of his tank for the goodies that lie below.
