Eating habits?

Yesterday he ate 2 crickets. Today I put 2 more in the tank and every attempt he made to catch them he missed. Yesterday it took him at least 3-4 attempts before he was able to grab them but today he missed every time. Is it possible he's just not that hungry today so he's not trying as hard? He seemed to give up after about 10 minutes.

I noticed that if I coat the crickets with vitamin powder he can't get a good grip on them. It makes the crickets teflon coated. As soon as I put a few crickets in his tank without coating them with vitamin powder he grabbed on to them easily and swallowed them.

Every other day is the usual adult feeding schedule. Rehabbing geckos may need food daily to help them recover. He needs those vitamins so if he isn't interested enough on a daily schedule, I would try every other, to improve his feeding response.

He just ate 3 uncoated crickets. I think I'll start to feed him every other day now. Are buying crickets online safe? It's kind of hard for me to get to a pet store on a regular basis.

Should be fine, just use a reputible source that gut feeds their crickets

Can you recommend one? I'm in New Jersey so I guess it would be a good idea to order crickets as close to New Jersey as possible?
