It's not your fault. A gecko that young can be pretty fragile, and often they don't show signs of illness until it's too late to help them. You did everything right, but sometimes they just can't be saved. Don't give up on geckos, and when you are ready to try again, get one that is a bit older from one of the breeders here and you will have a much better experience.

I'm so sorry to hear about your gecko. I have 2 geckos that were originally kept on sand, one from a chain store, and one from a craigslist rescue... I got VERY lucky with those two as they haven't had any major problems. Sadly, it's the luck of the draw sometimes.:(

Thank you everyone. I should have gotten an older gecko, his were all just so wild. I'm so upset and fixing to have to break the news to my boys when they get home from school here shortly.
