He so i have a lay box in the viv for Ammit but the thing is she is licking the vermiculite. I noticed a couple days ago and took it out but today i went in to spot clean and there was shiny poop in there. she must have pooped twice since this morning as there was nothing for me to clean then but this time there are 2 both shiny but one slightly less so. also one had a large wet spot around it. She has been eating ok and has a small dish of calcium in her viv so not sure why she took to eating the vermiculite. Any ideas ?

Should i be worried about impaction ? also other than moss what should i put in her lay box if not vermiculite ?

Thanks

THis is why I switched from vermiculite in the lay boxes to coco fiber (eco earth). That's worked fine for the last 5 years.

Mine did this for a bit, too. I switched out the vermiculite for paper towel for awhile. I then switched back and haven't seen her do it again. Some of her poops were sparkly and then went back to normal again with seemingly no lasting affects. I'd switch it out for awhile and see if she stops after that.
