Hey Greg -

Obviously you can do what you want as far as feedback, but remember that shipping time (as long as shipped when they said it was) is in no way the shipper's fault. And the box being all banged up is why you bought the shipping insurance. I'm just saying that it sounds like he is a good eBayer. He had good communication and the only problems seemed to be USPS. Lol, but do what you want, of course.

I emailed the seller basically stating that he should keep hold of tracking numbers and package items a little better. I'm just glad it's over. Thanks for listening to my rant.:main_laugh:

GOOD! You got it! And I don't mind listening to rants...keeps me from thinking of my own issues :p !!

I left a neutral feedback and stated that my box was banged up. I totally understand that whenever we ship something it is basically out of our hands until it reaches its destination. The problem I had was that he basically put this cumbersome thing inside a box that was too big for it and had no proper insulation whatsoever. If I was selling this fork and someone paid $200 for it, I would have wrapped it up with bubble wrap or tons of newspaper and stuffed it into a tight fitting box. But that's just me.:D

I'm glad to read that you got your fork

I think that the crazy weather and the size of the package most likely slowed delivery but not packing the item so that rough handling would not damage it is ridiculous for anyone that wants to maintain a positive feedback rating

I know that is what insurance is for- but if you receive money for something-It is no longer your property and why would you not try and ensure that it arrives in the same shape that it left your house in???
Having the box damaged is one thing but not protecting/cushioning the item was just not right

If this person keeps up with this type of packing practices-it will eventually show up in their feedback

I don't know if i would have been as nice with leaving a "neutral feedback"

It's a funny thing. I purchased a whole trunk carpet for my car that I bought online last friday. The box was easily four times the size of the fork box. anywho, I received the box yesterday! It also came through USPS and the box was in great condition. Go figure. Things happen I guess.
