Just want some advice, we finally hatched out our first Eclipse het Raptor tonight ;) she looks like she has 2 full eclipse eyes, my question is, do all eclipses hatch with full eclipse eyes?
And are they likely to change as she grows up?

Thanks ;)

First off, congrats! solid black eyes are even more rare than partial or snake eyes. Some of them do change, as in, a gecko that hatches with snake eyes can fade into completely normal eyes. But if they are going to fade, they usually do so within the first few weeks out of the egg. A couple of my snake eyed Raptors at hatch, grew up to be Aptors...

I always mark hatchling Raptors as: Raptor? until they are at least a month old, then I mark them with the ratio--like 90%/25% (one eye 90% red and one eye 25%), 50%/50% (snake eyes) and so on. At a month or so, the eyes should be "set". I can't wait to hear other breeders experience with these funky eyeballs :) the enigma of the Raptor continues...
