hi all!
at first time i want to ask sorry about my english...i'm italian.
in the past few months I have been fascinated by eclipse leopard geckos...
I have geckos that do not exhibit this character so complete and for this I am concerned about this morph.
i have found some differences between eclipse and non eclipse eyes.
eclipse eyes have a lower concentration of blood vessels, how you can see in the pictures below they have just one big vein with few branches...on the other hand non-eclipse eyes show a large quantity of capillaries that go to fill almost the entire surface of the eye.
I do not have hundreds of geckos and i make this comparison only with my geckos.
here are some photos to show better what I mean, has anyone ever noticed the same thing? What do you think about this?

That is an interesting observation. If it turns out to be accurate, it could help identify eclipses that seem to lose the characteristic snake eye or black (/red) pupil as they mature. I wonder if there is actually a different vein structure in the eye or whether the coloring of the eye causes the veining to look different. I am just getting my first eclipses so I'm not an expert at this characteristic yet.

From what I know, only some eclipse have the red veins. That was what tremper called his abbyssinians. I have quite a few with red veins, but I've seen eclipse without them.

hi Kristi, i'm not discussing on the vein's colour but on thier number
i have read more on abs and abs have no black pigment so this geckos not are abs for me...what do you think?
