Eco-Earth?

Just had a quick question. Has anyone tried using Eco-Earth in their leo's tank? I know it can hold humidity but what if we just use it in its dry form, do you think it could be harmful like sand or crushed walnut? Let me hear your thoughts! Thank you!

Edit: Also, Repti-Bark by Zoo Med, what about mixing the two of them?

I defently wouldnt reccomend it as a substrate for leos. Its best to stay away from any loose substrates for leos. Alot of people use it for humid hides though..

i use it in my hide boxes only. i have had issues with my geckos eating substrate so i figured hey maybe they wont like the taste of dirt. i think its not a good idea to keep it in the tank mainly because large amounts will get consumed when feeding. i recently upgraded to slate and i think it rocks. use play sand to fill in the cracks that way they cant snag a toe or anything. or u can go with fugly paper towels which appear to be the safest bet. carpet isnt half bad but my geckos always walked funny on it, didnt look comfortable.
