Egg candling.

My leos eggs have been incubating for a little over a week and im not sure what im supposed to look for when candling them. How should a fertile egg look when i candle it? Thanks for the help.

It should be pink and you should be able to see some small viens. I would wait until the second week to be for sure.

This is an absolutly new layed fertile egg...fertile eggs have a "bullseye".

Note that sometimes the bullseye can't be seen for a few days


I have acctually never experinced that...the "bullseye" can be smaller, but when a egg is/look totally empty when layed, mine have never developed a "bullseye" or later proven to be fertile. But that is my experience...

I've actually never seen a bullseye until at least it's been one full day since the eggs were laid. I have seen tiny little pink dots that then turn into a bullseye though.
