egg changing colors?

I'm new to this and my very first egg is now getting darker. What does that mean? It was white and now it's a green'ish brown color.

I'm using a hovabator to incubate and it's set to 80 degrees.

How long have you been incubating the egg? I can't say exactly what the color change means, though green is not a good color. Keep it until it either hatches or collapses and gets moldy. It's hard to wait, isn't it?

the egg has been incubating for about 2 weeks now and just turned in the last few days

Also, I just noticed it's starting to grow mold and is sweating a bit...

If it is mold, you can try some athletes foot powder. It may help if your egg isn't too far gone.

Can athlete's foot powder be used before the mold starts as a preventative?

Your incubation medium is probably too wet. What are you using and how?

I don't think there is any reason to apply the powder before the egg shows mold. A good egg with the proper temps and humidity shouldn't grow mold at all.

I'm using moist vermiculite. Maybe i should dump it out and try again and try to keep it less damp?

Also, what about using athlete's foot spray?
