Egg container size

So what is the best/preferred size for placing the eggs into the incubator?

I was thinking about a 16oz deli cup size to hold each clutch (2 eggs), sure it takes up more space in the incubator, but I do not have to worry about possible mold growing between first hatchling to the 10th hatchling.

Is a 16oz deli cup too small? I would imagine that so long as I have the proper water to incubation medium, I would be "good to go"

Any opinions or what is your method?

I use sterilite sealed plastic containers, about 5" on a side. I prefer the square shape to the round and can get 8-12 eggs in each.

I use the square ziploc sandwich containers. I keep 6 eggs in one container and use superhatch.:)

SO what size container would be too small? One would think that even though the proper ratio of water to incubation medium is used (.8) is 12 oz deli cup too small, what about 16oz? I was thinking about just placing two eggs to each 16oz deli cup.

I know some use much larger container so that more eggs can be placed into one container....I am trying to avoid using large containers.

My cups are 300 grams which is the equivalent of about 11oz, havent had any problems yet, i put two eggs in each cup, used to keep them all in one big container but alot of people seem to think a clutch in each container is better. Havent had any hatch yet since i changed but some are due in about 5 days and they look good at the moment. I think as long as you have 1.5 to 2 inches of medium in the cup you should be fine. Thats just my opinion though!

Wow, 8oz deli cup....... I thought that would be too small. Then my plan of using a 16oz deli cup should be just fine......of course using the proper ratio of water and medium.
