egg hardness?

howdy... as you may or may not know ive got a couple eggs incubating the fishtank method, i had the container take on water early, and quickly fixed that and all seemed well... one egg im almost sure is a dud, but its still in there anyways, the other egg seems to be growing great, its almost 7 weeks sinced they were laid, so im hoping anytime now... they are in temps around 84ish... my worries are the eggs seem soft... i have 2 new ones in there that are nice and hard, like you would expect an egg... but the ones that should be hatching soon have been soft ever since the water eppisode, so my question... how long till i should be worried? will it be able to come out of a soft egg? what to do? any help?

Many of my eggs soften before they hatch, some as much as a week. I have seen eggs in all states from hard and pristine, soft, half shriveled. So I guess you have to just wait and see what happens.

ok thanks Aliza... these ones have been soft since day 1... never hardened up, these newer ones are nice and hard... so ill wait heres hoping... hopefully we will see you at the end of august got a complete list/pics of what will be on your table??

You can check out my website (http://geckcessories.wordpress.org) for a representative sample of what will be there. Basically this year it's tangs, ranging from very dark to superhypo and very orange, yellowish Macks and whitish macks, 4 super snows, a few albinos and either 3 or 5 SW banded geckos. Two of the leos have very mild special needs. It looks as if I'm bringing more than 20!
