I'm sure this is in a book I have at home, but I am at work right now and am curious...

How long does it take an ovulating female who is bred to produce and lay an egg? Our female looks gravid, and the egg looks to be in the lower part of her belly. She has been in her humid hide every day and has been digging in the peat. So, I'm guessing she should lay soon? If it is an egg I am seeing...she's not eating at all...she did eat a few waxies about a week ago...but is uninterested in mealies....or crickets..so, I guess she could be gravid?

Uh yeah, what Marcia said! lol Last season we had a female who also laid every 14 days exactly and another who laid every 36 days. So I think Marcia's 4 week is probably pretty average. Waiting for that first clutch is so hard, it seems like they'll never lay! I'm sure it'll happen soon...just keep checking everyday.

My first egg-laying girlie was bred the first time on Nov. 18 and laid her first clutch Dec. 16. Just about dead on 4 weeks! lol That's my only breeding experience to contribute. :D
